009/365
Too much to take in! With a busy day of preparing dinner for neighbors, a meeting I didn't want to go to this morning, the getting ready for the house inspection and now the bug's clutch went out. It's just too much for my brain!

006/365
well, that's the face I made when I realized I almost finished the day without doing my daily portrait. And I was going to show off my new haircut too.
And yes, it's a little out of focus. I'm still trying to figure out how to focus on the place I'll be when using the timer. Not quite got that down yet...

The Project
Since starting my journey to a healthy body I joined a group called Sparkpeople Shutterbugs. It ties a love of photography into the desire to adapt a healthy lifestyle and view of food. One member of this group proposed the challenge of taking a daily picture of one subject for 365 days. That's right, a full year of one subject.
I'm hoping that I will learn a thing or two about my camera, photography in general and perhaps even myself in this time. While you are free to choose ANY subject to photograph the original project was started as self portraits. I've followed suit in choose myself as my subject for a few reasons. One, I have access to myself every day, so finding my subject shouldn't be too hard. Another reason is to document this journey I've started. It's interesting to see myself from the perspective others see me, I'm hoping to get used to my own skin, get comfortable with it, proud of it even!
Along with this commitment of a picture a day I've added a personal goal to this project. It is my desire to read through the bible in the next year. As I struggle with making time for devotions, I'm hoping to connect the thing I love and am committed to to something so much greater than myself.
So here's to the start of a 'new year,' a new project and a time of learning. Hope you stop by to join me for the ride once in a while.
